Kayson Brown is the Director of the Lyceum Orchestra program at American Heritage School. Kayson has directed all five BYU Orchestras, both University of Utah Orchestras, the Omaha Symphony, and numerous community, youth, and district honors orchestras. Kayson earned a Master's Degree in Orchestral Conducting at BYU and has performed to critical acclaim in Europe and across the United States.  He has an insuppressible love for music and especially enjoys working with young musicians.

 

 

Denise Willey, founder of the Lyceum Orchestra Program in 1987, was named Utah Studio Teacher of the Year in 1997 by the American String Teachers Association. An expert on teaching children to read music, she is the author of Sight Reading for Strings Music Literacy Program, and Suzuki Steps to Music Reading. Mrs. Willey has directed young musicians from across the country at Intermountain Suzuki String Institute, in public school music programs and after-school orchestras. She is a Suzuki Registered Teacher Trainer and a proud mother of six, all of whom have received national recognition for their playing and who now teach music.
