High School English Teacher’s Aide Posted 2/26/15. Seeking a strong writer, preferably with a background in English, humanities, or other field with significant writing focus, who can assist one or more of our high school English instructors to grade writing assignments and with other general classroom support. Must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Up to 10 hours per week. Compensation includes tuition credit if a current parent at the school. Position open immediately and until filled.

AP Chemistry and Chemistry Instructor Posted 1/31/2015. Minimum two-years experience, preferably in formal high school setting teaching AP Chemistry or Chemistry. Bachelors degree or higher required in Chemistry or closely related field. Teacher certification a plus, but not required. School Psychologist Posted 4/3/15. PT/Hourly. American Heritage is seeking a licensed, clinical psychologist to counsel with students who are struggling with social/emotional concerns including anxiety, depression, addictive disorders, learning disabilities, and peer, personal, and family relationship issues. The Psychologist would advise students and offer counseling sessions as needed to help the students make positive changes in their lives. Must have a love of youth and of the restored gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement personally and in counseling with students. A masters or doctoral degree in clinical psychology is required.

Academic and College Entrance Counselor Posted 4/3/15. PT/Hourly. Responsibilities for this position include educating students and parents about colleges and the college admissions process and advising and supporting seniors as they go through the process. The Counselor will meet individually with high school and incoming high school students to advise on curricular choices and plan and monitor graduation progress. The Counselor will also advise international students and assist them with unique aspects of the college admissions process. Must have an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Experience in college admissions and high school academic counseling is preferred. A bachelor’s degree in counseling or other equivalent credential is required.

Accounting Clerk Posted 3/25/2015. This role entails assisting the Director of Finance with various accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, document archival, etc. A strong candidate will be familiar with accounting cycles, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and will possess other basic computer skills. A strong candidate will also possess good customer relations, other interpersonal skills, and will be detail-oriented. Prior work experience, relevant training, and educational credentials will be among the many factors considered in assessing a candidate’s ability to learn quickly and make a positive contribution. In addition to demonstrating the ability to perform well in the clerk role, strong candidates will also demonstrate a desire to work in an LDS-based educational atmosphere and contribute toward the unique culture of American Heritage School, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Salary will be based upon skill set and experience.
